For three decades, “Antiques Roadshow” has turned ordinary people into treasure hunters, uncovering fascinating stories and jaw-dropping valuations along the way. In 2025, the beloved PBS series is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a five-city production tour, giving lucky ticket holders a chance to have their heirlooms appraised on set.

Here’s everything you need to know about this milestone season, how to attend, and more.

Reaching a 30th season is no small feat, and “Antiques Roadshow” is making sure this anniversary feels extra special. Executive producer Marsha Bemko says the show’s magic lies in its ability to turn everyday objects into captivating stories — something they plan to highlight even more this season. The 2025 tour will continue the show’s tradition of uncovering rare antiques and incredible personal histories, with appraisers from top auction houses and independent dealers offering insights into each item’s origins and worth.

If you’ve ever wondered how “Antiques Roadshow” experts determine an item’s value, it’s a mix of history, craftsmanship, rarity, and market demand. Appraisers assess factors like condition, authenticity, ownership history, and current market trends. While some items turn out to be priceless heirlooms, others are flops or reproductions. Either way, every appraisal comes with a compelling story (or it wouldn’t make the air).

Over the years, “Antiques Roadshow” has unearthed some truly astonishing finds. Here are a few of the most valuable appraisals in the show’s history:

  • $2-3 Million Patek Philippe Pocket Watch – This rare timepiece, passed down through generations, was revealed to be an ultra-valuable collector’s item.
  • $1-1.5 Million Chinese Rhinoceros Horn Cups – A collection of 17th-century carved cups, initially stored in boxes, turned out to be worth a fortune.
  • $1 Million Boston Red Stockings Archive – In 2014, a woman’s archive of 1871-1872 Boston Red Stockings memorabilia was appraised in New York. The collection included some of the earliest-known baseball cards and a letter from the team’s first lineup.
