1. Transformers Optimus Prime
When Transformers exploded in popularity in the mid-1980s, Optimus Prime quickly became one of the line’s defining characters. 2. Original Nintendo Entertainment System
The Nintendo Entertainment System helped transform home gaming during the 1980s, and millions of children spent countless hours playing titles like Super Mario Bros. 3. Teddy Ruxpin

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toy line arrived near the end of the decade and produced countless figures, but some releases were far harder to find than others. Scratch, a prison-uniform-wearing cat character released in the early 1990s from the original vintage line, became one of its most notorious rarities. 10. She-Ra Princess of Power Figures
Mattel launched Princess of Power in the mid-1980s, giving She-Ra and her allies their own colorful toy universe. 12. Jem and the Holograms Dolls
