The year 1947 was defined by reinvention. World War II had concluded a mere two years before, and the world was possessed by an enthusiasm to welcome in an era of hope and forward thinking. This collection of vintage glimpses of 1947 helps to capture both the highs and the lows of a year that’s busy in motion. It’s crazy how fast the world can scoot on by if we don’t take those mindful moments to appreciate the journey as it unfolds.

Matt has spent over the last 8 years as both a writer and editor, working in Seattle and Brooklyn, where he is now based.
