Before TikTok, YouTube, and smartphones, kids had plenty of ways to spend their afternoons. They would meet up with friends or find fun things to do at home. There were no endless videos to scroll through or social media updates to check.

Many of these activities may seem old-fashioned today, but they were a big part of growing up for an entire generation. From riding bikes around the neighborhood to watching cartoons before dinner, here are 15 things children did after school before TikTok became part of everyday life.
