12 Vintage Christmas Blow Molds Worth Serious Cash

A festive display of Santa Claus and snowman figures crafted as charming blow molds. The Santas, in their red suits, hold holly wreaths, while the snowmen don red hats and carry green presents. Bright colors and cheerful expressions create a joyful holiday atmosphere.

Few Christmas decorations capture the nostalgic nature of the holiday quite like blow molds. These iconic decorations first came about during the 1940s and have transformed over the decades. Despite taking on new forms, including beloved cartoon characters from their respective time periods, these lighted, plastic decorations haven’t strayed too far from their simple composition over the years, which is what makes some of them extremely valuable.

We scoured the depths of eBay and Etsy to highlight the most expensive vintage blow molds below.

1. Blow Mold Nativity Set

A nativity scene with figures of Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus surrounded by shepherds, wise men, and animals like sheep and camels, all set outdoors on a grassy area with a dark fence in the background.

Price on eBay: $1,950

When it comes to blow molds, full-on nativity scenes are running the game. You’ll pay a pretty penny for a complete scene, especially if you can find one that includes farm animals and camels (after all, the three wise men didn’t travel solely by foot). These scenes range in size and scope (some don’t include all the animals, and most don’t include the extra baby Jesus that comes with this particular listing), which is reflected in the asking price.

2. Beco Original Santa and Sleigh With Reindeer Blow Mold

A decorative plastic sleigh with a Santa Claus figure sitting in it. The sleigh is red with black metal runners, and Santa is waving, dressed in a traditional red suit with a white beard. It is positioned against a textured wall.

There are plenty of different Santa Claus-forward blow molds. The guy is, after all, the mascot of Christmastime. This particular set, straight from the ’60s, is one of the more endearing versions because of its extreme vintage appeal. The characteristics of both the jolly man in red and his reindeer ooze classic Christmas vibes, and we’re 100% here for it.

3. Vintage Santa Blow Mold Train

A festive outdoor decoration featuring Santa Claus reclining on a green and white train with the letters "S.R.R" and "Santa R.R" on it. The train has a small carriage filled with presents. It's set against a parked vehicle.

Santa gets around in a sky-bound sleigh pulled by flying reindeer. Everyone knows that. Still, for decades, there’s been this agenda associating Saint Nick with trains, too. We get it. It’s charming and cute. Empire cashed in on that false narrative with this vintage blow mold.

4. 1950s Christmas Light Blow Mold Wood Sign

A festive sign featuring a 3D Santa Claus face on the left and the words "Season's Greetings" on the right, bordered with green holly leaves and red berries, placed against a wooden background.

Price on Etsy: $1,650

While most blow molds are 100% plastic, this Santa face from the ’50s embedded in a wood frame is the only plastic piece classifying this decoration as a blow mold. With a holly border on the frame, “Season’s Greetings” proudly displayed, and cheeks so rosy Santa looks sunburned, this thing screams “I was designed in the ’50s,” which is all part of its allure.

5. 5-Foot Santa Claus Blow Mold

A plastic Santa Claus figurine stands on a leaf-covered lawn. The figurine is dressed in traditional red and white attire with a black belt and boots, holding a red sack with a doll peeking out. A house and trees are visible in the background.

Sick of Santa yet? Be careful how you answer, or you could end up on the wrong side of his list. This blow mold is straightforward Christmas, but it’s 5-foot stature justifies a little bump to what’s considered a reasonable asking price for a glowing plastic Santa.

6. Heller Industries Baby Jesus, Joseph, and Mary Blow Mold Set

A nativity scene with lighted figures of Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus in a basket. They are placed on a paved outdoor path, with greenery and a trash bin visible in the background.

If you don’t want to go full-tilt with your nativity scene and instead desire a more classic, bare-bones approach, Heller Industries’ Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus trio is the answer. These blow molds are off-white silhouettes, so at night time they appear as a classy, glowing scene. The only non-plastic piece is the wood basket holding baby Jesus.

7. 1950s Empire Santa Face Blow Mold

There’s that mug again — Santa’s face, complete with rosy cheeks and a nose reminiscent of Rudolph. Empire manufactured this giant Santa face blow mold during the ’60s. It’s 33-inches tall and 25-inches wide, so we imagine it’s scaled to the real-life guy with a belly that shakes like a bowl full of jelly.

8. Beco Christmas Giant Candle Blow Mold

A tall, red decorative candle with white dripping wax and a yellow flame, standing against a gray wall. The candle features a starburst design in the center and is plugged into a power outlet.

Beco’s Christmassy candle stick blow mold is a whopping 66-inches tall, making it the ideal companion for the front door. Though, to be honest, we’d prefer a pair of them for the price of less than one.

9. Winnie the Pooh Blow Mold

A statue of a bear wearing a red shirt and Santa hat holds a pot labeled "Honey." It stands on grass with leafy bushes and a brick wall in the background.

Blow molds incorporate character themes as most Christmas decorations do, and Winnie the Pooh is one of the most beloved. He’s got a Santa hat on to keep with the Christmas theme, but you’d have to pry the honey pot out of his cold, yellow fingers — that’s a non-negotiable Pooh staple.

10. Vintage Blow Mold Poloron Carolers

Two colorful, vintage Christmas choir figures with exaggerated, cheerful faces stand side by side on a tiled floor. They wear white robes with red bows and hold gold songbooks, adding a festive decorative touch to the room.

There’s no need for a security camera to keep criminals off your porch. This set of vintage carolers is creepy enough to get the job done. They’re like Yuletide scarecrows, except they’re made of plastic, they glow, and they cost almost $1,000.

12. Tasmanian Devil Blow Mold

A large Tasmanian Devil statue wearing a Santa hat is seated on a striped fabric chair. It has an open mouth with a big grin, showing teeth, and is missing pieces on its feet. The statue is placed outdoors, in front of a brick wall.

Blah bibbidly blah pfffft. Sorry, we had a bit of a Taz tantrum. That’s all we can hear when we see this guy. That Santa hat he’s wearing can’t put Christmas carols in our ears when Taz gibberish is already there.
